The pre show soundcheck can be a stressful situation. So many things to do. Equipment, levels, getting the guest comfortable, and the list goes on. It's easy to forget something.
I know what it's like because I run the recording sessions for my clients. There's nothing worse than listening back to a recording to find out you recorded with your laptop mic instead of your nice mic.
