Working with Tara was fantastic. After receiving a very thoughtful and comprehensive audit of the site, Tara also provided specific feedback that would set us on a path to meet our new website goals including new customer acquisition, streamlined customer journey, accessibility, and engagement. She took the time to understand our business and customers and then provided insights so we could make informed decisions regarding content, graphics, and the user journey. I hope we have another opportunity to collaborate with her in the future.
I’m a board member for a nonprofit organization and hired Tansy Aster Creative to refresh our brand. Tara did a fantastic job! It’s a good feeling see our organization in this new light. The way Tara was able to capture our mission was truly inspirational. We were very impressed with her professionalism, adaptability and expertise in taking our brand to this next level. We truly feel this is the right direction and Tara was the right fit for us. She is such a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend for your brand and story telling needs!”duction tools and personal skills.
After two years of working with Amanda, she not only checks a wide variety of boxes – from bookkeeping to interacting with our customer base to coordinating in-depth layers of scheduling from behind the scenes – she does it quickly, efficiently, and with a smile.
Amanda excels at anticipating our needs, her attention to detail, and is always cheering for us, doing all she can to help our business grow and thrive. Amanda is smart, savvy, and a great addition to any business needing help with growth and implementing better processes.
Amanda has made some suggestions to improve our processes and even client procurement strategies. She spent some real time with us initially and works with us weekly, always available when we need her.
Amanda is available, communicative, collaborative and creative. She just makes our business run smoother. I’d recommend Amanda to any business who needs a consultant or business manager. She has so many wonderful skills!
Over the years, we have worked on many projects together – and not always in the same capacity. I’ll tell her I’ve got a crazy idea and then ask her to jump into a different role. She’ll give me that inquisitive look, then say, “OK let’s try it,” with a smile.
Probably the best example of a crazy request: taking on the budget management for the Presidential Debate in Las Vegas. It was NOT your usual big budget as it had many diverse requirements and personalities that all needed to succeed. A massive, high-profile project for all involved, but we knew we could conquer it together. And that we did!
Amanda provided the expertise to establish my business with a confidence rarely experienced by artist entrepreneurs.
Amanda is dedicated and truly cares about her clients’ success. Her knowledge base, experience and genuine desire to get to the bottom of any question make her an excellent supplement to any business.
Amanda knows how to connect the dots.
One of her greatest strengths is her ability to help organize creative talent. I know this from my own experience with her while working on the film “Dream Out Loud.”
This was a film I had wanted to make for nearly 20 years, a film about U2 and their relationship with their fans. I had a plan, I could see how it needed to come together, but how do you organize 200 interviews in 5 countries and still stay focused on the story?
Amanda took the reins on the organizational side for me. She contacted each interviewee, set up times and locations, including backup opportunities...Every morning I would receive a succinct e-mail with the day’s itinerary of interviews, and some notes on each person.
She was an incredible sounding board for me as I went through the creative process, and always took care of the administrative details. She made every e-mail and letter we needed to send better. She secured the music licenses needed for the songs I wanted to include.
Amanda dares to believe that anything can be achieved because she knows that it is only a function of how hard you are willing to work at it. Everything she did on that film allowed me to be as creative as I could be, focused on the story, and because of that, “Dream Out Loud” is a better film.
Tansy Aster has been great to work with on our podcast. The audio quality of the podcast, audiograms and other creative content has been high quality and consistent with our brand and messaging. Their experience and insights have proven to be invaluable as we continue to grow and market our show. Tansy Aster has been a great asset to the team and we appreciate their ability to always provide excellent service even on such incredibly short notice.
Running a successful business requires more than learning some skills and understanding the concepts behind business operations. We can't promise you success but we will discuss concepts and ideas that will give you the best chance to succeed. The rest is up to you.
While starting our own editing business, we joined various groups inside and outside the podcast space to tap into the collective knowledge out there. What we found is that a lot of you are facing the same frustrations over and over, but can't find answers on how to avoid them. The other thing we found is a lot of the advice comes from people who got their start before the podcast boom really started. The landscape for newcomers is a lot different than what established editors face today.
So few of the experts are willing to open up and share their knowledge and experience. Maybe they fear that helping the competition will hurt them somehow. Maybe they are set in their ways and don't want to hear there could be another way of doing things. We don't know why.
We just know we don't see a lot of conversation that is more than superficial. We aren't here to tell you how to set up or run your business. Our goal is to provide you with knowledge, experience, and resources you can absorb to make decisions that are best for you.
You can expect to learn business concepts and approaches to apply to your business, whether you consider yourself a freelancer or a business owner. Most of the content will be driven by the members and what you need. Our areas of expertise include:
